Eck's Landscaping

Project Overview:

Started and completed in the summer of 2016, I decided that my families lake residence needed some sort of backyard that looked over the surrounding lake where grass could be grown. The backyard previously was sloped and had no form of ground cover other than dirt and weeds. The wall was to create a new plane that was occupiable where one could sit, relax and ponder overlooking the lake. The steps that were took in order to create this new grass plane was 1. create a level wall 2. cover the back of the wall with landscaping fabric so soil would not seep through, ultimately staining the exterior of the wall  3. provide drainage at the base of the wall so water build up would not damage the wall overtime 4. infill with dirt and then 5. provide healthy soil, fertilizer, lime and grass seed so a proper layer of grass could grow effectively under the shady environment.
